Adding your baby to your health policy 

Having a baby is a life-defining event in people's lives. This big milestone is a trigger point for parents to think differently about insurance, wanting peace of mind that their family is protected.

If you already have health insurance, you should make sure you:

• Understand your coverage before the baby arrives
  Review your coverage as you may have some pregnancy/childbirth cover or obstetric benefits.
• Notify your insurer of your new baby
  Make sure you add your baby to your policy within the required time period (usually 3-4 months after the birth but depends on the policy).
