The conditions covered under the Trauma Cover policy are outlined below. For full definitions of the conditions, please refer to the TOWER Life 360® Trauma Cover - Accelerated and / or TOWER Life 360® Trauma Cover - Stand Alone policy document. The medical condition must fit within the exact definition in the policy document.

Heart and Circulation

  • Aortic Surgery
  • Cardiac Arrest – Out of Hospital
  • Coronary Artery Angioplasty – 3 vessels or more
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery
  • Primary Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Major Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction)

Cancer

  • Cancer – Life Threatening

Blood disorder

  • Aplastic Anaemia

Functional Loss/Neurological

We recognise that in some cases a partial payment may ease financial strain where your condition falls outside of the above serious condition definitions, but meets the criteria for partial payment. The payment is the lesser of 25% of your chosen sum insured or $50,000.

  • Heart valve disease or disorder
  • Primary Pulmonary Hypertension
  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type 1, after the age of 30
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Total and permanent loss of use of one limb as a result of illness or injury
  • Total and permanent loss of use of one eye as a result of illness or injury
  • Total and permanent loss of use of hearing in one ear as a result of illness or injury
  • Chronic Liver Failure
  • Chronic Lung Failure
  • Chronic Renal Failure
  • Minor Heart Attack

Bone and Joint Benefit

  • Severe Osteoporosis before the age of 50
  • Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis before the age of 30

  • Prostate cancer
  • Malignant melanoma
