Giving you certainty at claim time

At Tower, we believe in trust both ways. This means treating you with honesty and fairness when you take out a policy and when you need to make a claim.

All you need to do is answer some questions truthfully, accurately, and completely. As long as your policy covers it, there should be no hiccups at claim time.

For full details of your responsibilities, please read the section 'You have certain responsibilities' in your policy document.

  • Your disclosure

Please answer the following questions about the policy (or policies) that have just renewed. It might be useful to have your renewal pack handy.

No need to provide information about any other policies you may have with us right now – you'll have the opportunity to update your disclosure for those policies when they renew.

Your answers here are a legal disclosure and must cover all people who may be covered by your policy with us. This includes anyone who lives at your insured property, uses your vehicle or other property.

If you don't tell us something here that we later find out, we may turn down a claim or even cancel or avoid your policy.

If your answers to any of these questions change in the future, please let us know immediately.

If you have any questions or need a little help, just start an online chat or give us a call on 0800 379 372.

  • Special conditions include a limited licence, an alcohol interlock, or a zero alcohol licence.
  • This includes ride-share and car-share services such as Uber, Zoomy, Ola and Yourdrive, as well as making deliveries, and transporting goods. Driving to work isn't classed as business use.
  • This could include things like making an engine or exhaust upgrade, adding an aftermarket stereo or a roof rack.

  • Questions about the house you live in

  • A holiday home is a house you only live in for a small part of the year like a bach or a crib. If you primarily rent out this property then it would be classed as business use. For example if you holiday at your bach for 10 weekends of the year and rent out your property for 11 or more weekends we would consider this business use.
  • Examples of business use include a home office, a consulting room, selling things from your home, or storing commercial stock. It also includes using more than half of the property to host boarders or paying guests through services like Airbnb or as a bed and breakfast.
  • If you're not sure you can contact your local council for a copy of your LIM.
