Tower has appointed Simon Hoole as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), from 1 May 2026. Simon’s appointment will provide continuity while recruitment for a permanent CFO progresses.
Mr Hoole is an experienced finance executive with deep expertise in the insurance and financial services sectors, strong regulatory and governance experience, and extensive experience in large-scale transformation.
He most recently served as Group Finance Director at Datacom, including a period as Interim CFO, where he led all financial functions for the technology business.
He has previously held CFO roles at Villa Maria Estate and Resolution Life (formerly AMP Life – Australia and New Zealand) and earlier held senior finance positions within the AMP Group, including CFO of AMP New Zealand.
Tower CEO, Paul Johnston, welcomed Mr Hoole to Tower and acknowledged Angus Shelton for his leadership and contribution in his roles as Interim CFO and previously Deputy CFO.
Mr Shelton will commence a period of planned extended leave from 1 May. “Angus has supported Tower through a period of significant change, contributing to the company’s progress and helping to position the business strongly for the future,” he said.
