Promotion terms and conditions

  1. By entering this competition/promotion you agree to and accept all these Promotion Terms and Conditions, as well as the Terms and Conditions below of the relevant competition or promotion
  2. Multiple policy discounts exclude business, commercial vehicle, travel, and some cover under rural policies, GST, government levies and some Optional Special Benefits. Discount varies depending on total number/type of insurance policies you have with Tower
  3. Policy terms, conditions and exclusions, and normal underwriting criteria apply
  4. Information on how to enter the promotion and all instructions appearing on TV, radio, printed material or websites will form part of the Promotion Terms and Conditions for entry into these competitions and promotions. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information shown on the TV, printed material or websites, these Promotion Terms and Conditions will prevail
  5. Under the Privacy Act 1993, all individuals have the right to access and correct their personal information held by Tower. Personal data will not be sold or passed onto third parties

Multi-policy discount 

  1. Discount may exclude travel, commercial vehicle, business and some cover under rural policies, GST, government levies and some optional special benefits.
  2. Discount may vary depending on the total number and type of insurance policies with Tower.
  3. Multi-policy discount may be referred to as 'package discount' in some customer documentation.

Online discount

  1. The online discount is a discount off the first year’s premium for each eligible car, house and contents insurance policy purchased online.
  2. Eligible policies are Standard, Plus, Premium and Landlord’s Plus House Insurance; Standard, Plus and Premium Contents Insurance; Comprehensive, Third Party Fire and Theft, Third Party and Commercial Vehicle Insurance acquired on Tower Insurance website.
  3. Cover4Travel is not eligible for the discount.
  4. Tower reserves the right to change or remove the offer at any time without notice.
  5. The discount will be fixed on the day you purchase your policy.
  6. A 10% discount applies to the first year’s premium for all eligible policies sold online. However as the premium may exclude RoadWise®, taxes and government levies, the total discount may be less than 10%.
  7. If any other discounts are being applied, discounts will be applied incrementally.
  8. Standard policy terms, conditions, exclusions and underwriting criteria apply.

How much could your address save you?

  1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions apply to the “How much could your address save you? Campaign.

  3. Findings based on a sample of 500 randomly selected Auckland addresses. Online quotes compared Tower Plus House Insurance to comparable AMI, State and AAI insurance product between 25/10/2018 – 29/10/2018 using the closest excess to Tower’s lowest available online excess of $500.
  4. Savings depicted are representative only and are based on a per annum saving
  5. Tower Insurance does not guarantee savings on house insurance premiums
  6. The amount of / if any potential savings on a house insurance premium will differ by individual Auckland address
  7. Quotes from Tower may be obtained online or by phone

Tower Insurance Facebook Competitions

  1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions above apply to all Tower Insurance Facebook post competitions (each a ‘Facebook Competition’).
  2. By entering a Facebook Competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  3. To be eligible for entry into a Facebook Competition you must: a) follow all instructions outlined in the relevant Facebook Competition post; and b) be a New Zealand permanent resident.
  4. Each Facebook Competition will be open for entry until the closing date stipulated in the relevant Facebook Competition post (‘Closing Date’) and subject to any conditions or instructions stated in the relevant Facebook Competition post. Any entries outside of the stipulated entry period will not be accepted and Tower does not accept any responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
  5. To the extent of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and in the information shown on a Facebook Competition post, these terms and conditions will prevail.
  6. Only one entry per Facebook member is permitted, unless stated otherwise on the Facebook Competition post.
  7. A random draw to determine the winner for each Facebook Competition will take place on the Closing Date, unless stated otherwise on the post itself.
  8. Winners will be announced by Tower in the comments for the relevant Facebook Competition post as soon as reasonably practicable after the competition ends.
  9. The winner must message Tower to accept the relevant prize within 5 working days once they’ve been announced as detailed in point 8. If the winner does not message Tower within that timeframe, Tower may, at their discretion, arrange for another random draw to determine a new winner for the Facebook Competition or withdraw the prize.
  10. The prize for each Facebook Competition will be detailed in the relevant Facebook Competition post. Prizes are non-exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  11. By uploading or submitting content (such as text, data, images, photos or names) (‘Content’) to a Facebook Competition, you acknowledge that you have right to use, upload and/or submit the Content.
  12. By entering a Facebook Competition you grant Tower the right to use the Content and your personal information (including name, city or town) for publicity purposes in connection with this promotion and agree to Tower’s use of your personal information to contact you in relation to the Facebook Competition.
  13. Tower will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury (‘Loss’) suffered by any person in any way associated with a Facebook Competition including as a result of entry into a Facebook Competition or winning a Facebook Competition prize, except where such Loss cannot be excluded by law.
  14. Tower’s decision on all matters relating to a Facebook Competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. Tower reserves the right to change applicable terms and conditions of a Facebook Competition at any time, provided that no participant is prejudiced by the change.
  16. Facebook Competitions are in no way endorsed, sponsored, administered by, or associated with, Facebook, and you fully release Facebook from any liability or responsibility for in connection with a Facebook Competition.

Air New Zealand Airpoints™ home movers offer

  1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions above apply to the “Air New Zealand Airpoints™ home movers offer” campaign.
  2. To be eligible for this offer you must have received an email from Air New Zealand with this offer and have taken out before 31 October 2019, 11.59pm (NZ time):
    1. a new Tower Insurance House standard, House plus, House premium or House landlord’s plus policy; and/or
    2. a new Tower Insurance Contents standard, Contents plus or Contents premium policy, online using the link provided in that email
  3. Such policy/ies must be active at the time we apply your 100 Airpoints Dollars™.
  4. FinTel, Trade Me Insurance, Kiwibank, TSB, Westpac, ASB and ANZ policies are not eligible for this offer.
  5. 100 Airpoints Dollars will be awarded per eligible house and contents policy/ies taken out.

  1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions above apply to this monthly draw.
  2. To enter the monthly draw, you must:
    1. be a Tower customer with an active Tower policy (other than a Tower Travel, Commercial, or Rural policy); and
      1. be paying for your policy premiums via direct debit or recurring credit/debit card; or
      2. switch your payment method for an eligible policy to direct debit or recurring credit/debit card.
  3. Trade Me Insurance, Westpac, ASB and ANZ policies are not eligible for this draw.
  4. The monthly prize is a $250 Prezzy® card.
  5. The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

September Airpoints™ Offer Campaign

  1. The Promotion Terms and Conditions above apply to the “Win one of two 1,000 Airpoints Dollars™” campaign.
  2. Entries open 3 September 2019 and close 11.59pm 30 September 2019 (“Promotion Period”).
  3. To enter this draw, you must:
    1. be aged 18 or older;
    2. comply with Tower terms, conditions and normal underwriting criteria;
    3. receive the email offer from Air New Zealand and take out a new eligible Tower policy (as referred to in paragraph 4) online during the Promotion Period;
    4. have an active Tower policy at the time the winners are drawn; and
    5. have registered your Air New Zealand Airpoints number with Tower by 30 September 2019.
  4. Winners may need to allow up to 30 working days from the date Tower contacts them to receive their prize.
  5. Eligible policies are Tower Insurance House, Contents, Car or Landlords policies, other than any policy listed in paragraph 5.

NZFSG - LoanMarket Adviser

  1. The General Terms and Conditions apply to this offer
  2. To be eligible for the Grand Draw, you must:
    1. be a member of the NZ Financial Services Group (NZFSG) adviser network (Adviser) at all times during and at the end of the promotion period set out in paragraph 3 below (Promotion Period); and
    2. refer customer(s) to Tower Insurance Limited (Tower) who take out a Tower Car, House or Contents policy (Eligible Policy) within the Promotion Period. Referrals must be made in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the agreement between Tower and NZFSG.
  3. To be eligible for the Monthly Draws, the customer must have been referred to Tower by an Adviser and have taken out an Eligible Policy during the Promotion Period. One prize will be awarded per customer, regardless of the number of policies taken out.
  4. The Promotion Period starts at 8am, Monday 30 September 2019 and ends at 5pm, Friday 13 December 2019.
  5. There will be three monthly customer prize draws during the Promotion Period (Monthly Draws), with a Monthly Draw to be held in each 4 week period of the Promotion Period.
  6. The winner of each Monthly Draw will be randomly drawn from those customers who have been referred to Tower by an Adviser and have taken out an Eligible Policy during the Promotion Period. Each winner of a Monthly Draw will receive a one-off discount to the premium payable on one Eligible Policy in respect of the first year up to the lower of the value of the premium or $2,000 (including GST). For the avoidance of doubt, each winner of a Monthly Draw is responsible for paying any amount of the relevant premium which exceeds $2,000 (including GST). If a customer has taken out multiple Eligible Policies with Tower, the prize will apply to the Eligible Policy with the highest premium.
  7. There will be one grand prize draw during the Promotion Period (“Grand Draw”). The winner of the Grand Draw will be the Adviser whose referral is drawn at random from all eligible NZFSG referrals received by Tower during the Promotion Period. If the Adviser owes any money to NZFSG when the prize for the Grand Draw is drawn, another eligible winner may be re-drawn.
  8. The prize for the Grand Draw is one prize of 1,000 Airpoints Dollars™ only, which will be allocated to an eligible Airpoints account of the winner’s choice.
  9. None of the prizes are transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  10. Airpoints terms and conditions apply to the Grand Draw.
  11. All prize winners will be announced, in collaboration with NZFSG, on 20 December 2019 and notified by Tower. Tower will make reasonable endeavours to contact the winners.
  12. If, for any reason, Tower is unable to contact the winner(s) within 14 days of the winner(s) being announced Tower may deem the winner to have forfeited their right to the relevant prize and re-draw another eligible winner.
  13. Tower’s decision is final with respect to all matters relating to the Grand Draw and any Monthly Draw and no further correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
  14. By entering into the Grand Draw or a Monthly Draw (as applicable), you will be deemed to have these terms and conditions.
  15. Tower reserves the right to change the applicable terms and conditions for the Grand Draw or any Monthly Draw at any time.
  16. Neither Tower, nor other party associated with the Grand Draw or any Monthly Draw, shall be liable for loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in the Grand Draw or any Monthly Draw, or any prizes offered.

Your chance to win $15,000 Campaign

  1. These Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to the “Your chance to win $15,000 campaign” promotion in which a draw will be undertaken from all valid entries for a one-off cash prize of NZ$15,000 (Promotion).
  2. In these Terms, Tower means Tower Limited and all Tower Group companies, being its related companies as defined in the Companies Act 1993 (also referred to as we, us or our).
  3. The Promotion commences at 12am on 6 October 2019 and ends at 11.59pm on 9 November 2019 (Promotion Period).
  4. Entry to the Promotion is open to you if you are a permanent resident of New Zealand and are an intended recipient of the Promotion, being any person who:
    1. holds and/or renews an existing eligible policy with Tower during the Promotion Period and such policy is still in force on the Draw Date (an Existing Eligible Customer); or
    2. takes out a new eligible policy with Tower before the end of the Promotion Period and such policy is still in force on the Draw Date (a New Eligible Customer),
    provided that Tower employees and Tower alliance partners are not eligible to enter this Promotion. Policy terms, conditions and exclusions and normal underwriting criteria apply in respect of all new, existing or renewed eligible policies.
  5. If you are eligible to enter the Promotion in accordance with clause 4, Tower will automatically enter you into the Promotion at the end of the Promotion Period on your behalf (unless we receive notification from you that you do not wish to participate in the Promotion, in which case we will not enter you into the Promotion).
  6. You will receive one entry for every eligible policy. Eligible policies are Tower car, house, landlords and contents insurance policies, but exclude any FinTel, Trade Me Insurance, Kiwibank, TSB, Westpac, ASB or ANZ insurance policies.
  7. There is one cash prize of NZ$15,000 (Prize).
  8. The winner of the Prize (Prize Winner) will be determined by a random draw from all valid entries on Thursday 14 November 2019, and where required pursuant to clause 10, on the redraw date (Draw Date).
  9. The Prize Winner will be notified by Tower via email or by phone using the Prize Winner’s last-known contact details provided to Tower.
  10. If for any reason Tower cannot contact the Prize Winner within two weeks of the Prize Winner being drawn or the Prize Winner’s eligible policy is not in force on the Draw Date, the Prize Winner forfeits the Prize and Tower will redraw a new prize winner from all valid entries at random.
  11. By accepting the Prize, the Prize Winner agrees to be bound by these Terms and grants Tower the right to use their personal information (including name and address) for marketing and publicity purposes in connection with this promotion on Tower’s website and/or social media networks, and in Tower communications.
  12. The Prize Winner must allow up to 30 working days from the date Tower contacts them after the Draw Date to receive the Prize.
  13. The Prize will be deposited to the Prize Winner’s nominated bank account.
  14. The decision made by Tower is final with respect to all matters relating to this Promotion and no further correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
  15. The Prize is not exchangeable, transferable or negotiable.
  16. Tower reserves the right to at any time amend or vary these Terms at any time and without giving reasons provided that no participant is prejudiced by the change.
  17. Tower will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury (Loss) suffered by any person in any way associated with this Promotion, except where such Loss cannot be excluded by law.
  18. If you are entering this Promotion as a New Eligible Customer, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms by taking out a new eligible policy. If you are an Existing Eligible Customer and you are the Prize Winner, your eligibility to receive the Prize is conditional on your acceptance of these Terms.
  19. This Promotion is bound by the laws of New Zealand and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

APEX Customer Insurance Protection

  1. These Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to the “APEX Customer Insurance Promotion” (Promotion).
  2. The Promotion starts at 8am, Monday 14 October 2019 and ends at 5pm, Thursday 12 December 2019 (Promotion Period).
  3. The Promotion comprises a draw undertaken in respect of customers eligible to enter the Promotion in accordance with clause 4 of these Terms (Customer Draw).
  4. Entry to the Promotion is open to you if you are a permanent resident of New Zealand and are an intended recipient of the Promotion, being a customer that is referred to Tower by an Apex Adviser who takes out a new Tower car, house and contents insurance policy (“Eligible Policy”) during the Promotion Period where such policy is still in force on the date on which the winner is drawn or redrawn (as applicable) (Customer).  Only one entry per Customer is permitted, provided that Tower employees and Tower alliance partners are not eligible to enter this Promotion.  Policy terms, conditions and exclusions and normal underwriting criteria apply in respect of all Eligible Policies.
  5. If you are eligible to enter the Promotion in accordance with clause 4, Tower will automatically enter you into the Promotion at the end of the Promotion Period on your behalf (unless we receive notification from you that you do not wish to participate in the Promotion, in which case we will not enter you into the Promotion).
  6. There is one prize for the Customer Draw which is a one-off discount off the first year’s premium for one Eligible Policy taken out with Tower during the Promotion Period up to the lower of (i) the value of the premium or (ii) $2,000 (including GST). For the avoidance of doubt, the winner of the Customer Draw is responsible for paying any amount of the relevant premium which exceeds $2,000 (including GST). If the winner has taken out multiple Eligible Policies with Tower during the Promotion Period, the discount will apply to the Eligible Policy with the highest first year’s premium.

Newpark Customer Insurance Promotion

  1. These Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to the “Newpark Customer Insurance Promotion” (Promotion).
  2. The Promotion starts at 8am, Monday 11 November 2019 and ends at 5pm, Thursday 12 December 2019 (Promotion Period).
  3. The Promotion comprises a draw undertaken in respect of customers eligible to enter the Promotion in accordance with clause 4 of these Terms (Customer Draw).
  4. Entry to the Promotion is open to you if you are a permanent resident of New Zealand and are an intended recipient of the Promotion, being a customer that is referred to Tower by an Newpark Adviser who takes out a new Tower car, house and contents insurance policy (“Eligible Policy”) during the Promotion Period where such policy is still in force on the date on which the winner is drawn or redrawn (as applicable) (Customer). Only one entry per Customer is permitted, provided that Tower employees and Tower alliance partners are not eligible to enter this Promotion. Policy terms, conditions and exclusions and normal underwriting criteria apply in respect of all Eligible Policies.
  5. If you are eligible to enter the Promotion in accordance with clause 4, Tower will automatically enter you into the Promotion at the end of the Promotion Period on your behalf (unless we receive notification from you that you do not wish to participate in the Promotion, in which case we will not enter you into the Promotion).
  6.
