General terms and conditions

  1. By entering this competition/promotion you agree to and accept all these General Terms and Conditions, as well as the Terms and Conditions below of the relevant competition or promotion
  2. Multiple policy discounts exclude business, commercial vehicle, travel, and some cover under rural policies, GST, government levies and some Optional Special Benefits. Discount varies depending on total number/type of insurance policies you have with Tower
  3. Policy terms, conditions and exclusions, and normal underwriting criteria apply
  4. Information on how to enter the promotion and all instructions appearing on TV, radio, printed material or websites will form part of the General Terms and Conditions for entry into these competitions and promotions. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information shown on the TV, printed material or websites, these General Terms and Conditions will prevail
  5. Under the Privacy Act 1993, all individuals have the right to access and correct their personal information held by Tower. Personal data will not be sold or passed onto third parties

  13. How do I know if I won?

  14. One prize winner will be drawn at random after the competition period on 17 July 2018 to determine the winner of the Competition.
  15. The winners will be notified by Tower via Facebook private message.
  16. If for any reason Tower cannot contact the prize winner within one week of the prize draw, Tower reserves the right to either:
    1. Withdraw the prize offer; or
    2. Withdraw the prize offer and redraw a new prize winner at random
  17. Allow up to 30 working days from the date we contact you to receive your prize.
  18. Is there anything else I need to know?

  19. The decision made by Tower is final with respect to all matters relating to this offer and no further correspondence or discussions will be entered into

$50 Prezzy® card

  1. The General Terms and Conditions above apply to this draw.
  2. To be eligible for a $50 Prezzy® card you must:
    1. Have received a communication with the offer from Tower Insurance;
    2. Comply with Tower terms, conditions and normal underwriting criteria;
    3. Not hold any policies directly with Tower at the time of receiving the communication;
    4. Contact Tower and take out a house insurance policy between 12.00am 8 June 2018 and 11:59pm 31 July 2018.
    5. Either:
      1. Mention the offer when taking out the eligible policy over the phone, or 
      2. Complete the offer fulfilment form when taking out the eligible policy online 
    6. Have an active house policy at the time we post out your Prezzy® card.
  3. Eligible policies are Tower Insurance house standard, house plus, house premium and house landlord's plus.
  4. FinTel, Trade Me Insurance, Kiwibank, TSB, Westpac, ASB and ANZ policies are not eligible for this promotion.
  5. A $50 Prezzy® card will be awarded per customer, regardless of the number of policies taken out.

  3. The estimate is only valid:
    1. for the house policy type as specified in the email
    2. where details relating to the customer and house provided at the time of the original quote have not changed
    3. until 31 July 2018. Price may be subject to change after this date.

  2. Tower Insurance Air New Zealand Airpoints™ Terms and Conditions apply to this draw.
  3. The promotion commences 12.00am 8 March 2018 and ends 11:59pm 29 April 2018.
  4. The prize is one of five 5,000 Airpoints Dollars™ holidays and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  5. Eligibility: To be in the draw to win one of five 5,000 Airpoints Dollars holidays you must
    1. either be an Existing Customer:
      1. with an Eligible Tower Insurance policy taken out prior to 12.00am 8 March 2018; or
      2. take out an Eligible Tower Insurance policy during the promotional period ; and
    2. have registered your Airpoints details with us by 11:59pm 29 April 2018 and comply with the policy terms, conditions and normal underwriting criteria.
  6. ‘Existing Customers’ are Tower customers who hold an active Tower Insurance policy and have a valid Tower customer number.
  7. Customers who hold a FinTel, Trade Me Insurance, Kiwibank, TSB, Westpac, or ANZ policy are not Eligible Customers and are not able to enter this draw.
  8. Eligible Tower Insurance policies are any Tower Insurance policies that are eligible to earn Airpoints Dollars. These policies can be found at tower.co.nz/airpoints
  9. You will receive one entry to the prize draw per eligible policy taken out or currently held with Tower Insurance during the promotion period.
  10. The draw will take place on 1 May 2018 and five winners will be selected at random.
  11. Winners will be notified by Tower Insurance. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the winners.
  12. If we are unable to contact a winner within 14 days of the prize draw, we will redraw one more prize winner at random. The same 14 days contact timeframe will apply to the redrawn winner/s.  
  13. The prize will be deposited into the winners’ Air New Zealand Airpoints account registered with Tower within 30 days of contacting the winner.

No liability: Neither Tower nor any other person or party associated with this draw shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this draw. Nor shall Tower nor any other person or party associated with this draw be liable for any loss to the prize whatsoever suffered once the prize has been allocated.
  20. Any entries into the competition will be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  2. To receive 10 bonus Airpoints Dollars you must:
    1. Have received an email from Tower Insurance Limited;
    2. Take part in research activity before 11.59pm on the final day of the month; and
    3. Must have registered your Airpoints number with Tower Insurance.
  3. The Tower Insurance decision is final with respect to all matters relating to this offer and no further correspondence or discussions will be entered into

Online discount

  1. The online discount is a discount off the first year’s company premium for each eligible car, house and contents insurance policy purchased online.
  2. Eligible policies are Standard, Plus, Premium and Landlord’s Plus House Insurance; Standard, Plus and Premium Contents Insurance; Comprehensive, Third Party Fire and Theft and Third Party Car Insurance acquired on Tower Insurance website.
  3. Cover4Travel is not eligible for the discount.
  4. Tower reserves the right to change or remove the offer at any time without notice.
  5. The discount will be fixed on the day you purchase your policy.
  6. A 10% discount applies to the company premium for all policies sold online. As the company premium excludes road wise, taxes and government levies, the total discount will vary and may be less than 10%.
  7. If any other discounts are being applied, discounts will be applied incrementally.
  8. Standard policy terms, conditions, exclusions and underwriting criteria apply. 

Multi-policy discount 

  1. Excludes travel, commercial vehicle, business and some cover under rural policies, GST, government levies and some optional special benefits.
