About the TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme

Not all KiwiSaver providers are the same and you need to be confident that your savings are with a company that will aim to protect and grow your wealth.

KiwiSaver for employees

As an employee you can currently choose to contribute either 2%, 4% or 8% of your gross salary or wages into the KiwiSaver scheme of your choice. What's even better is that both the government and your employer may contribute too. In the 2011 Budget it has been proposed that the minimum employee contribution rate of 2% will rise to 3% for all new and existing members from 1 April 2013.

Your KiwiSaver rights when you turn 18

It pays to start out early in personally contributing savings to your TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme. Who is involved in providing it for me?

The TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme is a registered KiwiSaver scheme under the KiwiSaver Act 2006 (the Act). TOWER Employee Benefits Limited is the Promoter, Administration Manager and Investment Manager of the TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme. TOWER Employee Benefits Limited was incorporated in 1994 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TOWER Managed Funds Limited. Its ultimate holding company is TOWER Limited. The Trustee of the TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme is Lighthouse Superannuation Nominees Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trustees Executors Limited.

The investment options offered by the TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme are selected by the Trustee and currently invest in funds managed by TOWER Asset Management Limited. Your contributions are held in a separate account in your name and invested in one or more of the funds (see details of TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme Fund Performance here).

Your TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme balance is allocated into units which represent a share of the net assets of the fund you have invested in. The value of the fund's net assets will change, which means that the unit price will also change – this may be either up or down. The change in these values is influenced by market conditions at the time.

Neither the Crown, nor any other person or company guarantees or promises the repayment of, or return on investment in any of the TOWER KiwiSaver Scheme funds.
