Car insurance FAQs
With our Comprehensive car cover customers can choose to insure their car for its market value or an agreed value. These decide how we settle a claim if the vehicle is written off or stolen.
- Market value is the amount your car is worth on the day it's damaged.
- Agreed value is an amount you and your insurer agree to cover your car for. This amount is locked in for a year when your policy renews.
Your windscreen and window glass is automatically covered under our Comprehensive and Third party fire & theft policies. If you ever need to make a claim for windscreen damage, just call us on 0800 379 372 and we'll get it sorted.

You can also add our windscreen excess buyout benefit when you take out the policy and you won't pay an excess if you claim, or lose your no-claims bonus.
If you're not completely happy with your cover, just let us know within 15 days of the policy start date.
As long as you haven't made any claims during this time, we'll cancel the policy and refund any premium payments you've made. If the policy was not quite right, we might be able to change it to better suit you.
